A digital strategy for the power network

Electricity North West has launched its first digital strategy consultation.

The firm, which operates the North West’s power network, is responding to the need to modernise the energy network and markets which will support the drive for zero carbon emissions. With a focus on digitalisation, decentralisation and decarbonisation.

The Government has set a target of 2050 for the country to be at zero carbon emissions. Electricity North West is leading the region to be net zero carbon by 2038.

The digital strategy document describes an outline of technology and direction that may be needed to help the business deliver on its current business plan goals.

Electricity North West is now consulting views and opinions on its latest digital strategy document. To view the strategy and provide your feedback, see here.

The consultation closes on Monday 10 February.
