Engaging stakeholder advisory panel held in Preston

Last week more than 40 key stakeholders attended our strategic advisory panel at the wetland and woodland nature reserve Brockholes in Preston.

The event, which will be held on an annual basis, was organised to bring together key stakeholders across the North West to help Electricity North West provide the very best service to its 5m customers.

The meeting, attended by representatives from organisations including Transport for Greater Manchester, Citizens Advice, British Red Cross and Cumbria Action for Sustainability, follows five separate meetings which focused on our key business areas including sustainability, affordability, customers and reliability.

Jonathan Collins, stakeholder and CSR manager for Electricity North West, said: “The day was a huge success and both internal and external attendees are really helping us deliver the business plan commitments.

“We’re committed to providing the best service to our customers and regularly meeting key stakeholders from across the North West will greatly help us achieve this.”

New CEO Peter Emery opened the event by discussing the future of Electricity North West and stakeholders were then given an overview of the power operator’s eight year business plan.

Roundtable sessions encouraged discussions between stakeholders and Electricity North West employees to generate feedback on our business plan commitments and targets.
