Engineers will continue to work through the evening to repair the damage and restore power to the final 45 customers in North Lakes.
Electricity North West has been closely monitoring the new weather front, Storm Bronagh, which is crossing the region at the moment.
The latest bad weather has caused the loss of power to 1,600 customers in Cumbria, including Whitehaven and Maryport, and some of these might be without power overnight.
More than 300 free hot food and drinks have been provided to customers without power in Cumbria. For updates on locations please visit Twitter and Facebook.
Chris Fox, network systems manager for Electricity North West, said: “We’re closely monitoring the new weather front which is passing through our region now. We still have extra engineers that are working into the night to restore the final customers from Storm Ali and where safe any new faults caused by Storm Bronagh.
“We’ve made great progress and I want to reassure customers that our job isn’t finished until the last customer is back on.
“We would really like to thank customers for their support and patience as we work to restore power to the final customers impacted.”
