Kind-hearted colleagues collect Easter eggs for Stockport charities

Kind-hearted colleagues from Electricity North West have donated hundreds of Easter eggs to foodbanks and hospices throughout Stockport.

The collection took place at the power network operator’s Borron Street office as colleagues rallied around to collect 215 chocolate eggs.

The chocolate eggs have been donated to Francis House Children’s Hospice, Sandwich Angels and Chelwood Foodbank Plus who support local food banks in Brinnington and Adswood, two areas close to the offices in Stockport.

Chris Benson, depot manager at Electricity North West, said: “We are passionate about supporting our local community.

“Easter eggs are something many take for granted but not everybody is always able to receive one.

“Hopefully the children and families will be excited to receive the eggs, we are delighted with the response from everybody in the team, and these eggs will go a long way to making people smile over the Easter holidays.”

Over the years, Electricity North West has donated more than 1,000 Easter eggs to a variety of charities within its region.
