New Year power upgrade set for Troutbeck

The region’s network power operator is investing more than £20,000 in upgrading the power supply in Troutbeck, Cumbria in the New Year.

Engineers from Electricity North West will start to install around 140m of new electricity cable along the A591 between Kendal and Keswick.

The essential three-week project, which will start on the 9th January, will help ensure local homes and businesses receive a reliable power supply now and for years to come.

Ray Boles, engineering delivery manager for Electricity North West, said: “We take electricity for granted every day and this project will help ensure that local residents and businesses can continue to take it for granted and enjoy a reliable power supply for years to come.”

Any disruption will be kept to a minimum and there will be manned temporary traffic lights in place to allow engineers to carry out the work safely.

If customers have any queries about the project they can contact Electricity North West on the new free national number 105 or 0800 195 4141 or follow @ElectricityNW
