Power restored to all customers (22:45 update)

Engineers from Electricity North West have now restored power to all customers who have been affected by the recent severe weather.

Despite the difficult conditions teams from the network operator have restored power to around 18,000 properties since yesterday.

Chris Fox, control room manager for Electricity North West, said: “Our teams have worked really hard in trying conditions to restore power to all customers who have been affected by the severe weather. We understand how difficult this is for our customers. I'd really like to thank them for their understanding and patience during this time."

If you see power lines down please stay away and report it to Electricity North West on 0800 195 4141, or by calling the new national power cut number, 105.

Customers needing additional assistance, including some older or disabled people, or those with a medical dependency on electricity, can also sign up to the Priority Services Register by visiting www.enwl.co.uk/priority or contacting Electricity North West.
