Nine new graduate positions are now available at SP Electricity North West as the company continues to invest in the region’s electricity network to meet growing demand.
The new two-year graduate programme has been designed to develop and enhance the skills future electrical engineers will need in a fast-developing industry.
SP Electricity North West is set to invest billions of pounds in the North West in the coming years as reliance on electricity grows each day.
The latest announcement reflects the company’s commitment to developing talent and investing in its workforce for the future.
Chris Havard, who will oversee the graduate programme for SP Electricity North West, said: “We’ve got a strong track record of investing in talent, each year we take on a new cohort of apprentices and now we are making a commitment to graduates too.
“These roles are unique as the graduates will gain experience across a variety of key areas within the business, working alongside highly skilled and experienced teams.
“We’re excited to help nine graduates to build an exciting career within our business and help shape the future of the region’s power network.”
From day one, graduates will be involved in the planning, design, implementation and maintenance of the region’s power network.
Hands-on experience will also be gained in installing underground cables, overhead lines and substations along with collaborating on projects aimed at reducing carbon emissions and improving energy efficiency.
Applications for the roles close on 1 March and will be based at various locations across the North West.
