Engineers from Electricity North West continue to work day and night to restore power to the remaining 1,000 customers in Cumbria after the severe flooding on Saturday.

Teams from the network are continuing to work around the clock and began gradually restoring power from 06.30 following through-the-night repairs to the main substation in the area.

Having assessed the damage caused by flooding that has resulted in further loss of supply at Lancaster, our engineers have plans in place to begin the restoration of supplies from approximately 0800 on 8 December.

Engineers from Electricity North West are working hard in extremely difficult conditions to restore the remaining 2,657 properties in Cumbria and 300 in Lancaster and surrounding areas.
