Since Storm Desmond hit the region two years ago today (5th December) Electricity North West has invested £270m in strengthening the power network to help power everyone’s daily lives.

After a busy month in October, last month brought minimal disruption to the network despite heavy rain and flash floods in Lancashire on the 23rd November.

This week engineers will complete work on Styal Road as part of a £1.7m project to secure power supplies to more than 22,000 homes and business in Wilmslow, Handforth, Chelford and Alderley.
